11/21/2023 0 Comments Kia sportage lease![]() ![]() No longer eligible for thatr credit, I asked if they could just refund my down payment so I could look at other options now that the time sensetive nature of the credit was gone. This made it so I will lose out on a $5,000 tax creidt, again, a main reason I purcahsed the car on the original date. On the day we agreed to a deal, they handed me a few signed papers and said, "congrats, this is your car now." Then when I went to pick up the car, all the contracts had the pickup day, not the day I put the $4,000 down paymnet down and signed the contract. I was very up front that the reason I was purchasing the car that day was because of that. It was the last day that these vehicles qualified for a federal tax credit. Lastly, the day I went to purchase the car was important. To the sales rep's credit she did offer to pay for my ubers out of pocket because she saw how frustrated I was getting with the constant dance of being told one thing then another, but I didn't feel comfortable taking her up on that as it shouldn't of been up to her to do that. So in short on that point, don't believe anything the sales reps tell you, they have no actual power or influence on anything. This was only going to be about $30 a day and she said that she could make that happen, but again the sales manager said no. I then asked if I could uber to work and take the uber cost off of the sales price since the vehicle was delayed. But then she again went to talk to the Sales Manager, and he said that wasn't possible. The sales rep told me she could get me a loaner vehicle. The delay was an issue for me being able to commute to work so I called and ask if there was anything they could do. Since I really wanted the care we eventually agreed on a price for one that wasn't in stock yet but they said it would be in stock a week later. They claim to have used car pricing, but they wouldn't honor other used car prices I found because they were more than 15 miles away, meaning they only honor used car pricing from the 1 or 2 other dealerships closer to them, which again is just not really what they are advertising. They would say things like "but if you put more money down, we can get you a lower monthly rate" as though they were doing me a favor by asking me to make a bigger down payment. She would then go to the sales manager and come back with numbers that were higher than where we had even started. In negotiations with the sales rep she kept telling me things like I can for sure get you another $500 off, or I can for sure get you a 3.49% interest rate. But if you are looking for a Kia in stock elsewhere I would goo elsewhere. I really wanted one of the new Kia Plug in Hybrids and they were the only dealership in the area that had any so I was forced to deal with them. The worst car buying experience I have ever had. Gray 2023 Kia Sportage X-Line AWD 8-Speed Automatic I4 AWD. Located in Fair Lawn, NJ / 13 miles away from New York, NY Payment estimate based on lease programs in effect through September 5, 2023. Not all lessees may qualify higher lease rates apply for lessees with lower credit ratings. Lessee is responsible for vehicle maintenance, insurance, repairs and charges for excess wear and tear. Except as otherwise expressly provided, excludes sales tax, title, registration and other fees. Total cost to lessee is $17,070 over the lease term. I was also told that there is no number that can be given out to expedite this process so basically there is nothing i can do but wait.$1,446 total due at lease signing includes down payment, first month payment, and $0 security deposit. ![]() I have called multiple times and have gotten the same answer for the last 4 month which is that my Claim manager has left the department and my case if being re-assigned. Update: After 6 months of waiting for Kia to send me the "Loss of Confidence" rebate that was promised to a customer who dealt with the engine failure and purchased another Kia i have decided that Kia has the worst customer service of any car company currently selling in the US. This should definitely be on the list of test drives for anyone looking for a mid sized SUV. I don't understand the complaints about not enough power? I don't pull a camper or race with it so it seems to have enough power to do what it was designed for and i have been getting between 36-38 MPG on my trip to work (mostly highway). There are a few minor things i would have liked to have such as auto dimming rear view mirror and home link garage door openers but not a deal breaker. There is more interior … room than i expected, soft ride and quiet interior. It also has heated synthetic leather seats, automatic windshield wipers, automatic headlight dimming, smart key, and a huge touchscreen. and safety features for this price range including lane departure, collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic collision avoidance. ![]()
